Last month we had the chance to attend a super fun dinner party, arranged by Leila of Be Inspired PR and hosted by Nathanial of Contemporary Catering. It was such a nice evening and so much fun to be able to chat with a bunch of talented ladies and gents in the industry.
Last month Elan Artists, Bridal Bar and us hosted a party at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles. The theme of the night was “Downtown Confidential”, attire was to be retro chic, and the invite promised an evening of mingling with fabulous cocktails, seasonal tastes, and invigorating vintage and modern sounds. What a place to have an event guys, seriously. When you walk up to the Carondelet you’re greeted with a gorgeous exposed brick façade. Once you enter those wrought iron gates… wow. Take a look!
We are so excited to be featuring ONEHOPE Weddings today! You can find ONEHOPE Wine in stores here on the East Coast, but today we would like to introduce Megan Robinson, Director of ONEHOPE Weddings (the wedding division of ONEHOPE Wine). Something that inspires us more than women in business and small business owners is women who are in business and giving back to the community! Megan Robinson is all of those things! ONEHOPE Weddings boasts 5 different types of wine and also a sparkling wine, and 50% of each bottle of wine purchased is given back to the charity supported by that particular wine.

The stunning celebration (which was SUCH a blast!) was put together by our favorite party planner, Mindy Weiss, and it definitely did not disappoint. Beautiful vintage decor by Found Rentals and pretty flowers by Dolce Designs Studio filled the room, while DJ Shakee of Scratch Weddings kept the tunes rolling all night long! We couldn’t help but indulge in some cheesecake pops by Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach, One Hope Weddings wine and delectable Sweet Lucie’s ice cream… yum! We’d be lying if we said we didn’t take full advantage of the Mobile Photo Booth… we would’ve taken pictures all night long if we could!
The day started with a breathtaking ceremony under a giant, romantic tree with the bride in an incredible Jenny Yoo dress. At the last minute we decided to add a custom lace bolero that pulled everything together and would be the perfect addition for a crisp fall wedding. Cherish Paperie was the perfect person to create this purple and tree-inspired stationery set that is a great intro to a destination vineyard wedding. One of my favorite parts was the one-of-a-kind “sippin’ station” we created off to the side of the barn with lots of One Hope Wine and a delicious cheese pairing for the cocktail hour. And don’t even get us started on the table! Bottomless wine bottles held candles on top of a natural burlap runner (custom made by Antonia herself) with colored glass accents… so cool!
The bar area was meant to emulate a traditional European wine & cheese shop with old bistro chalkboard. We loved this idea for a small dinner party. The cheeses included: imported and Domestic Cheeses such as home made breads, Candied Pecans, Quince Paste, Fruit Preserves, Fresh Honeycomb, Dates. All paired with OneHope Weddings Wine’s Champagne/Sauvignon Blanc.
Wedding trends are constantly changing with time, from the style of gown brides should don for their big day, to the hottest ring they should rock, to the way they wear their hair. But one thing never goes out of style, and that’s class. In this issue, we celebrate classic wedding styles that will stand the test of time.
Thanks again to all the couples that came to scratch with us and to OneHope Wines for the wine for the evening. OneHope Wines donate half the proceeds of every bottle to charity and each type of wine represents a different cause! They also can customize the donation if there’s a certain charity the couple represents so that the proceeds go to that charity. Pretty neat, right? Also thanks to Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach for the delicious cupcakes and the team at Be Inspired for helping plan the event.
